Bryce Clifton, Metal Fabrication student, competed in the SkillsUSA State Championship in the Welding division in Jackson, Mississippi on March 9 where he placed 5th overall.

Metal Fabrication students attended the SkillsUSA regional competition at Northwest Mississippi Community College. Bryce Clifton placed third in the welding competition and will advance to the state competition. Ty'Dreques Webb competed in the Job Interview competition. Preston Chism, Aiden Skelton, & Hunter Holmes competed in the Welding Fabrication team competition.

FFA members competed in area competitions where they placed as follows. Timothy Madru placed second in extemporaneous speaking and moved on to the North District competition. Trace Ward, Caleb Panel, and Jonathan May placed third in the welding competition.

The FFA Agriculture Mechanics competition team placed second at the North District FFA Competition. Members are Timothy Madru, Trace Ward, Alex Nicholson, and Caleb Wilkerson.

As part of CTE Month activities in February, the 8th grade students from Hickory Flat Attendance Center and Ashland Middle-High School visited the CTC for tours of the building and each program.
