NEWS
Students
at Ashland Middle School completed a 4-H landscape project
to help improve the environment of the school. Melvin
Oatis, Benton County Extension Director provided
instructions on how to remove plants from plastic
containers and prepare the planting site for transplanting
them into the landscape. He also provided information
about the care and maintenance of landscape plants.
Funds for the landscape project was provided through the
4-H Community Pride Grant Program of the Mississippi State
University Extension Service and sponsored by the Chevron
Companies.
