Ashland High School Beta Club Attends Leadership Conference

Fifteen Members of the Ashland High School Beta Club attended the State Leadership Conference at Copiah-Lincoln Community College March 2-3. The students were inspired by speakers and motivated to continue serving the community while participating in team building events with other Betas from around the state.

          AHS Beta Club members place in Mathematics Contest

Members of the Ashland High School Beta Club participated in a variety of mathematics competitions including Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and Potpourri March 1 The competition was hosted by the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science in Columbus. The Potpurri Team placed seventh out of approximately 20 teams from across the state

The Ashland High School Beta Club attended the Mississippi State
Convention last month. Members entered the Scrapbook contest to showcase the many community service projects, fundraisers and activities the students held throughout the year.                     AHS Beta Club holds Officer Tryouts

Nine Beta Club members submitted resumes to obtain a position as anAshland High School Beta Club officer. Each was interviewed last week by a panel of community leaders. The selections for Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer will be announced at the Honor's Banquet to be held March 27. Outgoing Vice-President, Valerie Smith will automatically serve as the new incoming President for the club.
